Sleep for the wicked.

Yes! Eight hours sleep last night! I almost feel human. Granted, I got the sleep in three separate blocks, but I slept for almost four hours straight through at one time! It would have been longer, but the O’beast decided it was time for breakfast at 6:00. I’m thinking of having him freeze dried and mounted over the television set in the living room.

I am learning one very important lesson right now: Don’t eat if you aren’t hungry. The Socialist came home wanting an earlyish dinner last night. I’d eaten some left-over spaghetti just a couple hours before and wasn’t hungry. We ended up running some errands, and then stopping at Boston Market (his favorite of favorites) for dinner. I got a meal to be sociable, even though I still wasn’t hungry in the least. I ate only a small amount of it when I began to feel sick. With all the swelling in my belly, there just isn’t room to put unwanted food any more. I stayed queasy all night, and ended up going to bed early. At least I slept it off – I feel better this morning than I have in a few days. I’m even hungry again. I’ll have to see what’s waiting to be nuked in the ‘frige when I’m done this entry.

Still no word from any of the tests, although Dr. Liver’s assitant called me yesterday to say they’d gotten the disability paperwork, and oh-so-sorry, but Dr. Liver wasn’t in today to work on it, but he’d get to it tomorrow. That’s OK. It’s only money.

Kitten is still apparently feeling a little subdued over yesterday’s vaccinations, but she’s taking an interest in the parking lot doings again.

I finally wrote an email to a few people at a place elsewhere in cyberspace I used to frequent more often than I do now. I had wanted to wait until I got a definite dignosis and treatment plan before I did so, but this is dragging out too long, and I know some of them were becoming concerned about my protracted disappearance. Most have been friends for years now. I owed them an update.

I just found out that the navel air station near us is having a big air show in two weekends. I used to go all the time in my younger days. I love watching the big planes make low passes, and the aerobotics of the smaller planes. A couple years ago they even had a Stealth come in for some low passes, but I wasn’t there to see it. The Socialist has agreed to take me, even though it’s going to be a crowded zoo. I hope I’m feeling well enough to do the entire day there.
