Boring entry.

I got a killer headache around 9:00 last night, so I gave up, took the single Tylenol I’m permitted a day, and crawled into bed early. I woke at midnight with the headache mostly gone and feeling guilty. I had promised The Socialist that I’d watch some of the Babylons with him when he got home from teaching, and instead of waiting for him I’d fallen to sleep.

I went downstairs when I woke, and we ended up watching three episodes of Babylon. This may be the first series I’ve watched that actually improves upon repeated viewing. There are a lot of little, throw-away things in the earliest episodes that have significance come second and third season. I am amazed all over again at how well crafted this series was.

My lovely new command chair for my computer desk has proven popular with the two girl cats. Both Cattitude and Kitten have found it to be an ideal nail buffing instrument, and already the back corner of the chair shows signs of wear from their beauty regimen. Somehow I must retrain them to see The Socialist’s computer chair as the perfect nail salon.

Today itself has been uneventful. I’m still fighting the last bit of last night’s headache, but I’m holding off on my Tylenol until closer to bedtime. I’ve done little more than read the paper, watch a couple of old episodes of ER on cable, duck outside between bursts of rain to encourage the exuberant morning glory growth to stay on the fence and stop squishing my other plants, and take pills. Speaking of which, it’s time to take pills again….

  1. I know how to solve the Kittie Nail Salon problem. Double stick tape. All you have to do is put a few peices of double stick tape on the current Nail Salon, and they will decide some other Nail Salon is more hospitable. 😉

  2. Hope the headache disappears completely. And sleeping is a good thing, imo, no matter what time of day it happens. Just remember when you couldn’t, and do it with gusto.

  3. Ahh, vine fighting. I’ve been there.

Actually, TX’s vine is in need of discipline. If it wasn’t 100 degrees F, I might do something about it.
