Sorry about the spam, folks.

It wasn’t my fault! All I can say in my own defense is that the Dear Diary system had a severe case of the indigestion, and I was unfortunate enough to attempt to update multiple times during the worst of it. I really did check after each update to see if the entry was there. I even hit “refresh” to make sure the diary hadn’t updated. Finally, when I got one of my updates to take, all the previous attempts were also disgorged and we ended up with quintuplets.

At least you got to see five variations on a single title (since that was the only part of the previous entry that hadn’t been saved to Word before updating.).

  1. re camera software: If you are deleting the camera software folder after uninstalling and still getting the error, it probably installed a system file in your Windows folder that has become corrupted. This type of file generally isn’t deleted when you uninstall, so reinstalling doesn’t fix the problem. Possibly, the only way to fix it is to try to find out all the files it installs and manually searching them out for deletion after uninstall. They may have it on their website or send you the info if you email them with your problem.

Or they may have troubleshooting tips on their website that can help you. I assume you have been to the support page of their website?

  2. Have you tried a card reader? It’s much faster than using the camera software and acts just like another drive so you can just drag your pictures onto your computer. And while I’m at it I use a very inexpensive program (Microsoft Picture It) to view and print my photos.

Option #2 is to go to the camera’s website and peruse the help files. Most likely you’re not the first to encounter the problem and they probably have directions to let you know what to delete.

Good luck and I’m obsessed with Nine Princes…what have you done to me? I have visions of me scouting out many used books stores for the rest of the series.

  3. I liked the Salamander graphics, but I like this layout as well. I think the colours and the background supports your new username, which I by the way think is the best idea ever :).

  4. I loved your Salamander look, but if you are dissatisfied, maybe you need to go for a completely different look. Something totally new and you. The sick side of my personality is picturing a liver spotted background. Hmm, that probably won’t do.

Gotta ask about a comment above this one. Nine Princes… the Zelazny series?

I also received only two notify’s, one for each post here, so no worries!

  5. Did you read the sequel’s to the Nine Princes series about Corwin’s son? I haven’t decided if I like those better or not, they seem much more edgy than the Amber series.

For fantasy series though, I gotta go with David Eddings’ Belgariad series. I’ve enjoyed it off and on for the last 20ish years, and now my kids are learning to enjoy it just as much.

  6. You know, I am unsure why it stroke me so, but when I read your comment regarding how many times my entry posted, I almost laughed out loud as I answered a call. Potentially dangerous, but VERY funny. Thanks for the laugh!
