Sweat Box
I just finished completing a health certificate for some animals we’re shipping off-site. The certs aren’t complicated, but they’re time consuming. Like other government forms I’ve dealt with, they want ten paragraphs of information on three lines or less. I get good practice with microwriting by doing these forms.
I then put my head in my hands and closed my eyes. Just for a minute. The heat is starting to get to me, and I’m beginning to get a headache. When I looked down, there were three splash marks at strategically significant areas of the form. I’ve sweated onto the damned paperwork, making the ink run.
It’s ruined. I should just do the whole thing over. Instead I’m going to wait till it dries, write over top of the smeared areas, and send it in as is. Doing that form again would kill me.
Current office temperature = 94 degrees Fahrenheit.
We’ve a fairly new Boston Market, did you lose one?
I think the title you have for today fits perfectly!

i think i’ll try catching Lost in Translation next. hopefully it’ll be a better viewing experience.

I love finding gifts like that!

We lost our Boston Market a year or so ago too. I used to like the creamed spinach.
I have cold hands and a warm heart :).
Oh, thank you for your comment in my latest entry… I re-read what I’d written and realized how awfully pessimistic I sounded. I got a honest compliment and all I could do was whine about it not being actually true. Thanks!
Wow, a gift to Socialist from Russia… I can’t wait to hear what it is. Though I think he’s far more anxious to hear it than I am :D.
I’ll send a cold breeze your way if you send a warm one mine!

you can hang here, it’s always parka country here!!
I saw Lost in Translation during its opening weekend and loved it! It’s a different kind of "comedy" then the traditional Bill Murray films. I think he was hallarious in the movie. That scene when he’s running on the tredmill and couldn’t figure out how to make it stop was sooooo funny. I also love the way how the end just left you hanging, so you don’t really know if they ended up together or not.
Films that makes you go "hrm!!!"
Wow! I think I’ll definitly go test drive the Prius now. Thanks for the comments!
94F? They need to send you home!
Poor Pali =[
Sending you some cool pacific breezes.
I loved the cake thingy. I odn’t know how that picture showed up but I loved it. Thanks. YAY!
But, at least in AZ it’s a DRY heat. *wink*
I like it there, but I’ve only been there in like March-April weather.
Ok, there’s something wrong when it’s colder here than there… current temp here 61 degrees and the high was 66… and just for fun….Yuma and Phoenix were also in the 60’s today. Of course there are some beautiful parts of Arizona that don’t get too hot. What part of Arizona is the Socialist looking at?

I saw your comment on Quiet Evening’s Diary….
I WOULD recommend Korianaskatzi (or like you say, however you spell it) Just because it’s so unusual. Have you seen Baraka???? I saw it in the theater and was blown away. I have tried to find it at the video place, but they never have that kind of film it seems. Podunks. 🙂
If you haven’t seen Baraka though I would highly recommend it 🙂
Baraka is much more….beautiful.
And it shows all kinds of religious practices.
With lots of slow motion and time lapse photography. There is a walking meditation sequence that is mesmerizing.
Oh, now I want to see it again!
I will have to go on Ebay and get a copy for myself….I have been resisting buying videos, I just have enough stuff already. But this IS a special one.
Y>
I think it is a sin that you have to work in those kind of conditions. They should let you do your work at home until it is fixed. Of course it would have been easier and quicker to just replace the whole unit. Typical men!
That is definitely a movie i wanted to see… Lost in Translation.
Oh, i’m here!
I would kill for 80 degree or better right now. I am freezing, my hands feel like ice.
I don’t know if we have Boston Markets around here…certainly not in my small county. I don’t recall seeing any during my internship.
I have used KfH2 as a handwarmer today. He is nice, soft and furry.
