Clueless, Episode II and Blogs

Just got off the phone with the veterinary hospital. Clueless’s temperature is down, no vomitting or diarrhea overnight, and he’s demanding attention. He’s still NPO (i.e. “no food or water”) until this afternoon, and then they’ll try him on a little easily digestable lunch to see how he handles it. If all goes well, he’ll be home tomorrow. I’ll be going to visit him in a couple of hours.

I made it to the gym yesterday (whoopee) and then asked The Prof what he wanted to do to celebrate his new position. Indian food and A second viewing of “Attack of the Clones” it was. I feel like such a Star Wars nerd! It was great the second time around too, though.

I was listening to our local NPR station yesterday, and they mentioned a piece that had been done on Blogs a few weeks ago. I searched it out on their web page, and while I couldn’t find a transcript, I did find a streaming audio of the broadcast (about five minutes). Blogging – weB-logging. I never heard the term before, but apparently we all keep Blogs at DD. I thought the segment was interesting and somewhat thought provoking, so I’ll stick the link out here for anyone who might be interested:

The article title is “NPR : Fresh Air for Monday, December 10, 2001 :

Linguist Geoff Nunberg”
