Return Fire

Last night a spring on the garage door snapped, as did the eye hook it was attached to. The garage door fell and missed The Prof’s new car by inches. This morning I ran to Sears and Home Despot to get a new garage door opener, new springs and eye hooks for the garage door, and arrange service for installation of these items.

When I returned both of the cars that had been occupying the non-parking parking area were gone. I parked the trusty Prius, ran inside, and moved The Prof’s other car (he didn’t trade in the Matrix, so he now has two cars) into the other spot.

This is the current configuration of cars, taken from my living room window. I didn’t have the guts to go outside and take pictures. As a bonus you get to see The Prof’s new vehicle.

  1. Go, you!

What happened to your hubby’s previous vehicle? You may recall that I own the same model, maybe a year older? (Mine’s a 2003.) So I wonder what might have gone wrong. I aim to keep mine for at least ten years.

  2. Was this the absolutely most inconvenient time for this to happen?

I don’t mean to be mean, but I’m glad I’m not the only one who has inconvenient things happen. Join the club.

So the door is functional now?

    Bless
