KfH – Further News from Sick-Bay
Just called the vet hospital, and the Grey Terror is doing well. Her temperature is back down to normal, she hasn’t vomitted at all (not that she’s eaten anything to vomit), she’s bright and alert, and she apparently hasn’t broken any equipment that they feel compelled to ask me to reimburse the hospital for. They’re going to try and feed her small amounts this afternoon, and if they stay down, she may come home as early as this evening.
This is good news for both the kitten and my finances. The estimated cost of a three day stay for pancreatitis in the hospital was over $500. My veterinary bills for this year already total over $750 (and that’s with discounts, since I’m a veterinarian myself).
Why am I the one to end up with all the cats with issues?
