No, TraumaMama, KfH’s official name isn’t “Kitten from Hell”, though she has been called that, along with some far more pithy names, in the course of her short life. The little cretin’s name is really “Selkie”, after the mythological Celtic creature that appears to be a seal in the water, but who can come ashore, take off its skin, and assume the shape of a beautiful woman (or handsome man, in some tales). When I got her, her little seal face with its wise little eyes made me think of the legend of the selkie, so after a few days of debate and gathering name suggestions from everyone I knew, I ended up going with that.
As a rule I don’t like to break our anonymity, but since KfH seems to have developed a bit of a following, I guess I owe it to her public to offer up that piece of information. (grin)
