Brief Update
It was the Day from Hell at work yesterday. Today promises a little relief, though not as much as I’d like. To compound things, it’s hot out there! The thermometer outside my office door registered 94 yesterday afternoon at around 4:00. Blegh.
Recolored my hair Tuesday night. I think I might have left it on a tad too long this time – I’ve gone a little past the red-highlights stage. The Prof claims it looks good, and still looks natural. Even I have to admit that it isn’t as extreme as Bozo the Clown or Lucille Ball. At this rate I’ll be coloring it magenta and chartreuse by summer’s end and be proud of it. I’ve come a long way since last summer, when I merely covered the grey (and that with trepidation).
The furniture people were supposed to call me yesterday to firm up a delivery time for Friday, which is when The Prof can be home all day. They didn’t call my office (even though they had the number) but instead called the apartment and told The Prof they were bringing the table THURSDAY AFTERNOON. The Prof happens to be home Thursday afternoon anyhow, so he was willing to accomodate, but I’m still annoyed. They specified Friday when we set this up! I told The Prof to give ’em hell when they made the delivery today. While The Prof can make a pretty wild rant in cyberspace, he tends to let people walk all over him in real life, and I suspect that he’ll just accept the delivery today without so much as a whimper.
Yesterday at work was terrible. Today is shaping up to be only a little bit better. Counting the days until the weekend.
