Wasted day.

Last night I called and cancelled my seminar, called work to say I’d not be in at all, took my sleeping pill, and crashed. It felt so good I may just take another one tonight. I do plan to go to work tomorrow though. I have no further days off to take.

Today was spent watching television and reading my Charles de Lint book. I’m thinking about drawing myself a bubble bath now, soaking with a book for abit, and then calling it an early evening. My appetite still istn’ back, and I suspect it won’t come back until I catch up on my lost beddy-bye time. I feel like I’m wasting the entire day, but it feels too good not to ….

It has remained cold here, and the snow has not yet melted. My few neighbors who have already planted have some very unhappy tulips and pansies peeking up sullenly through the ice. My heart goes out to them. This wasn’t how I planned on spending my day, either.

Not much to write when you aren’t doing much. Night, all.

  1. I agree with sez. Everybody needs a rest/chill-out day or two now and then. I took one just a couple weeks ago, and it was over way too fast!

By the way Pali, thank you for the very kind note you put on my first entry at my new diary. Made me feel very good. And yeah, it may be a different neighborhood from this one, but we’re still neighbors… 🙂

  2. I agree with the above—the day isn’t wasted if you are catching up with much need rest and a good book.

I heard about your snow on the news. *Chuckle, Chuckle*

(Hope that chuckle doesn’t come back to haunt me ;))
