The serpent bites its own tail, and this hoop snake year comes to an end. A few things that describe my life at present: Frustration: The thing that most summarizes the year for me is that itâs the first full calendar year in my adult life that I have been neither employed nor a full…
This promises to be another disjointed entry. Lots to say, and (if I’m lucky) a half-hour or so to type. Rented and watched “The Green Mile” over the weekend. I tend to be very leery of Stephen King movies (I liked his books twenty years ago, but you can only get away with ending your…
The blood oranges have again appeared at my grocery store. This is nearly a month earlier than their first appearance last year, and I dare to hope that this means that this year’s season will be longer. The Socialist has been indulging my addiction, and has purchased several dozen blood oranges for me already. I…
So the garage door is fixed. New garage door opener, new springs, new cables, new pully-thingies, new safety sensors at the prescribed legal height (apparently our last ones were too high), new gizmos to remote operate the door, new gadget with a bunch of push-buttons to non-remote open the door … I think we’re set….
I write this while sitting at a table for one, with a $5.00 David Weber book from the damaged table in my hands. An $8.00 paperback copy of The Oxford Dictionary of American Usage and Style and a $30 new release called Transplant sit at my left elbow. I’m in the University of Pennsylvania Bookstore’s…
It’s been too long since the last one. My Liver New Taking shameless advantage of the song “New York, New York”, Written by Fred Ebb/ John Kander Let me say for the record that making parodies would be much easier if “liver” were a one-syllable word Start spreadin’ the news, you’re going away. You have…
Cats are such interesting creatures. I have always found it amazing how cats come into our lives. As far as I am concerned, it is one of those karmic things. Dek has an owner out there, they just don’t know it yet.
Bless you for taking this tiny helpless little creature under your wing. You truly are one of the good guys.
Gee, I was going to suggest calling her Trouble…
Have you considered contacting any of the local TV stations to maybe have them do a Human Interest piece on her? I’ve no doubt she would have the chance at many homes through that avenue.

Hiya…
First ‘Happy Belated Birthday’……second thank you for the sincere comment you left me….
/hugs/
Hey stranger!
So you found a stray kitten and took it to the vet….. we had the same situation here a couple weeks ago. Well, she wasn’t caught in a trap, but was starving… she ate a whole can of cat food in the blink of an eye – she probably hadn’t eaten in days. Poor thing. Her Feline Leukemia test was also negative, but she had 2 kinds of parasites and had to get medicine for those and a boy stray had attacked her on our porch… we rescued her and found her a good home the next day. I think they’re going to call her Thumper. She is adorable and much loved.
Oh, just read the other comments… speaking of the karmic thing in relation to kitties… the home we found for our stray… the guy had said he wanted a new kitten who was at least part Norwegien Forest… the very next night we found the stray kitten, about 10 weeks old, and yes, she IS part Norweigen Forest… Beautiful. I may have opted to call her "Karma" if I’d kept her, but it wasn’t up to me.
well i feel very loved that at least somebody can be arsed to read my diary lol. countdown is a gameshow where you have like 9 letters, a mix of constanants and vowels, and you have to try and make the longest word possible out of these letters. it is an english classic lol like blue peter. dont tell me you havnt heard of that either!! anyway countdown used to have carol vorderman on (meh-heh!) lol.
i even found you a link lol how kind am i. just look at those sexy presenters (in their 15 yr old picture lol). now you can see why we all love it.

RYC: I don’t have a clue! I didn’t update the entry…which I sometimes do when I see a mistake I have made. But the "notify your friends" box is not ticked when I do that. I am totally at a loss to know what happens when one clicks on that BUTTON !
(There goes my reputation as a computer whiz…
right down the drain.)
Hope you find a home for the kitty.
Perhaps a picture would help?
Belated happy birthday. 29, right?
Will the birds take flight or will they fear tilting the perch and upsetting the big dumper, maybe even losing their spot?
Let’s hope they soar.
Good golly Miss Molly, I don’t know what size those pictures are that you posted, but they are taking FOREVER to download. I entered your page and noticed they were loading, so I went and folded a load of laundry, then started a new load, put the clothes away, and 10 minutes later coming back to my ‘puter they had still not loaded!
Maybe I’ll try later tonight when hopefully there will be less traffic online.

Where the heck is the picture of the kitten?
Oh Whaaaaaaaaaaaa, you gave it away already?
What a beautiful kitten!
Dek looks like a cat I used to have that hated everyone but me and my dad. :o)
I’d take the little dear if I could, but we’ve already got our zoo packed. My boyfriend’s vet found a stray (grey/tan/white calico) a couple days ago, and it was almost murder for me to let her go.
I’m going to ask around.
I want her for myself, damnit.
But I’ll ask around.
Why, oh why do kittens have to be so darned cute? It’s a good thing you live on the other side of the continent, or I’d be a borderline *crazy cat woman!*
I really want that kitty!
Tis soooooooooooooooo cute
You have to keep him, how could you not!!!!
look at all those whiskers!! She’s a little beauty!
Oh oh oh my heart skipped a beat. She’s drop dead gorgeous. I can’t wait to see if she works her magic on Other Half.
Grounding yourself can be fun. But only if you ground your partner at the same time. Say, neither of you can leave the bedroom for the whole weekend! That should teach you!
Well, maybe not. But it would be memorable!

To answer your question, the other associate isn’t planning on coming back except on a fill in basis, one to two days per week between the four clinics and the occassional weekend on call. She wants to stay home with the baby.
I thought I left a comment here very early this morning…anyway, a belated Happy Birthday. Too bad I am so far away, we are one cat down after poor Jinco who is sorely missed still.
Love the illustrated magnetic poetry. And the kitten is gorgeous.
