Seed Kibbles

This morning was normal, unlike the past month of mornings. I arose, walked out of the bedroom into the hallway, and found not two but three cats awaiting breakfast. Clueless hasn’t begged for a meal since sometime back in September.

I went downstairs, put hay in the mangers, and then sat to babysit Clueless while he ate. This has become necessary because he loses interest in food after a few bites and wanders off, leaving his bowl fair game to other, more rotund felids. This morning, however, he didn’t leave his bowl until it was empty. Well, he left two “seed kibbles” in his bowl, but all the cats do that. The Socialist calls them “seed kibbles” because he believes the cats think that if they leave them behind they’ll grow into a new bowl of kibbles.

But I digress. Clueless did not wander off, no longer interested in food. He made a beeline to The Kitten’s bowl, and stole her seed kibbles. Meanwhile, Warrior Princess headed over to Clueless’s bowl and stole his seed kibbles. I checked, and there were no seed kibbles in WP’s bowl, so either Kitten got them, or she polished off the bowl on her own.

Things are back to normal.
