Today’s WhizBang! update.

I’ve received no response from WhizBang yet. What a surprise. Yesterday, however, the number of visits from WhizBang abruptly dropped to zero. I find that interesting, but it proves nothing.

Based on comments many of you left for me yesterday, I decided to shoot out a follow-up e-mail to our snoopy friends this morning:

From : Salamander

To : [email protected]

Subject : Request for information

Date : Thu, 14 Feb 2002 12:27:58 +0000

Sirs:

I noted yesterday that visits from your search spider have stopped, according to information provided by the site meter service offered by deardiary.net. I do not know if this is due to my request to you yesterday for more information regarding your interest in my diary, or if this is merely an artifact of your regular scheduling. If this is in response to my inquiry, you have my thanks.

I have had the opportunity to discuss these visits from your search spider with half a dozen other members of the diary site who have noted similar activity from your organization on their site meters, and we all remain curious as to the reasons behind your search spider’s multiple visits. We await your explanation of why you visited our on-line journals so frequently, what information you extracted and who you’ve released this information to.

Thank-you for your attention to this matter.

[my real name], VMD

I continue to anticipate no response, but at least I’m keeping myself amused.
