I’ll rescue them, but four is the limit.

In the (hopefully far distant) future, when it’s time to adopt another cat, The Honorable Mathematician gets to pick. It’s his turn.

The professor in my clinical behavior class at school said that the official “crazy cat lady” limit is over six cats. I still have a buffer of two cats between me and that title; fortunately I only have room for four, so it’s improbable I’ll ever achieve that lofty goal.

  1. What a wonderful tale, and what a cutie! Those eyes are just too much.

Now I want a cat. When I tell Hubby, he will have kittens…so I don’t have long to wait!

  2. What a lovely heartwarming story. I was half expecting to read that you’d taken her home yourself, but I’m glad she found a home so quickly, and seems to be recovering.

We had a sad incident with a cat last night. There was a knock on the door quite late, someone asking if we knew who owned a tabby (not Saffy, thankfully!) that had just been hit by a car in front of our house. The car that hit her had driven off, but the car behind it was driven by a vet nurse who stopped to check on the cat. She wasn’t looking good (bleeding from the mouth, and only barely conscious), but the nurse made her comfortable and took her to the after hours vet in town. I haven’t heard how she did, but I’m hoping she was as lucky as Smiley.

It’s nice to know there’s still some people kind enough to help an animal in pain. Thank you for being one of them!

  3. You made me cry, you wonderful, Evil person. Thank you for being so kind to something so tiny and precious.

Like FutureCat, I was prepared for you to say you’d adopted the darling little thing yourself to add to your brood. I was all ready to call you a Crazy Cat Lady. ;o)
