End Note
A really good soundtrack to eating one’s first kiwano:
And no. It’s got nothing to do with kiwanos. But it’s happy, and so am I at the moment.

A couple of things in the paper caught my eye today. ANIMAL-WELFARE PLAN DRAWS FIRE There is an addendum to the Farm Bill currently in the hands of the House that would regulate how all dog breeders operate. Currently, only breeders who sell puppies through pet stores are regulated, and legislation covering the infamous puppy…
Thirty degrees Fahrenheit? Fifty degrees Fahrenheit? You want it all? Then come visit me, because that’s the weather forecast for today and tomorrow is. March is not coming in like a lion. March is coming in like a schizophrenic. March may have been named for Mars, the God of War, but it would have been…
It’s been over twelve years. Once in a while I’ll see one of the other cats, sitting silhouetted in a sunlit window or in shadows on a chair, and I think it’s him. You never stop missing them.
This is the weekend for that annual air show at the nearby air base. Long time readers may recall that I went last year with my friend Dr. Twenty Cats (actually, I think she’s up to twenty-one again, but “twenty” is easier to type out). There was virtually no advertising done for the show this…

What’s next? Star fruit? Ugli fruit?
They do look rather sweet.
We’re all used to them by now, but kiwifruit also look quite amazing in cross-section.
those look a whole lot like the lemon cucumbers I grew last year. Now I’m going to have to find some to try.
RYC: I’ve tried Goodwill but while I’ve found lots of shirts, aside from one pair of capri pants, they’ve never had anything in my size *sigh*
