Waiting for the Cookies to Cool
Yeah, I know. Nothing for a month, then overwhelming drek. I found this while waiting for my cardamom cookies to cool enough to glaze; I just hope I can embed it on Dear Diary:

Last night a spring on the garage door snapped, as did the eye hook it was attached to. The garage door fell and missed The Prof’s new car by inches. This morning I ran to Sears and Home Despot to get a new garage door opener, new springs and eye hooks for the garage door,…
Shay, you’re on the right track, but I think you meant to ask “What do you need to get out of the course?”. I’ll answer both. What I wanted was a refresher on basics, as well as some information regarding proper formatting, how to get myself organized initially, and how to work my way around…
I just checked my email. This was waiting for me: From: [email protected] To: ****@%%%%.### Subject: Thank you for your online registration! I had a pleasant and quite unexpected surprise as I drove into work this morning. Driving a rush-hour-crowded road I’d traveled a hundred times before, I was stopped for a red light on a small bridge that crosses over a tiny creek in the middle of an industrial complex. A blue flash caught my eye,…
Tendon release surgery went well Wednesday. I came out of anesthesia with a dry nose that turned very drippy in the recovery room; by the time I woke up Thursday morning it was a full-blown head cold. I must have been ready to break with the cold going into surgery. Hand-wise things are going well….
Looks like I’m going back for more tests – a bone scan and a chest scan. They found an “irregularity” on the MRI and can’t rule out a carcinoma. It isn’t likely, but it isn’t impossible either. The area is probably just a nodule of hepatic regeneration; when a liver gets as bad as mine…
Welcome back to the big wide world!
Hope the bugs are dead dead dead and gone gone gone.
Nasty little creeps.
Oh, she does look fetching in her lilac sweater!
I’m glad she’s able to enjoy some freedom again. And fingers crossed for good results from cultures.
Awwww. For a fart cloud, she looks awfully cute in that sweater!
I guess the HSUS needs money to donate to those celebrities they recruit for their ads. *snort*
Go, little gray kitty! Ditch that infection!!!!!
I agree with writes_stuff. I would be even more outraged if I didn’t like Sarah MacLachlan and if they paid her. (Did I spell her name right?) I really have no idea if they do.
Speaking of spelling, I think you mean the Humane Society, not the Humans Society. ;o) Yeah, it’s obvious; but I was confused at the beginning so I thought I’d give you the opportunity to edit it before someone else got here. :o)
I will make absolutely certain that any donations I make, or friends make, will go to our local canine or feline rescue organizations! Thanks for the info! (And for the record, every time I see that commercial with the pathetic looking animals and that damnable Sarah McLachlan song, I mute it and purposefully look away! I despise that bit of audio-visual mammalian horror show. It’s like looking into an open, festering wound.)
I <3 SLFC’s new sweater, too. Lavender is her color!
OMG on the video. Evil has officially migrated over to your cat. Those eyes!!! *gasps in horror*
that was hilariously funny!!! thanks for making me laugh!!!
