I love my employee discount.

The front store got these in for the Christmas season a few weeks ago, but they haven’t put them out on the shelves yet. The moment I saw them I knew that I needed to liberate a pair. After inquiring, I was told that I could purchase them directly out of the stockroom if I wanted.

The cats have been intrigued, but not particularly interested. Selkie wandered over to check them out, then looked up at me incredulously. I had to reassure her that no bunnies were actually injured in the making of these slippers.

  1. Animal language is the best…

Once when we had a new foster dog who evidently was NOT allowed on couches where he came from, saw Ben jump up on ours and settle himself in for a nap.

The foster observed this and immediately whipped his head around to look at me, then at Ben as if to say…

"Did you see this? Are you SEEING this? What are you going to do about it???"

I then rocked his world by picking him up and placing him on our couch.

He was flabbergasted at his luck.

Your kitty has a similar look on her face. 😉

  2. Oh, mementos aren’t meaningless… 😉

I did slip a paper or two into a box I keep old letters in. A drawing from the mind/body class I took, a half written story from a cheap notebook…. I’m not totally crazy.

But so much of that pile was just stuff I was keeping out of habit.

    Well, habits can change!

    😉

I realized that some of these things are stealing energy from my psyche. These days I need all the extra energy I can get, so I did some displacement.

    Heh heh.

    As for you….

Only YOU can decide what goes and what stays.

That’s the beauty of the system!
