When Steve moved over to his new site, he changed the name of the old site from deardiary.net to deardiary.org. What he didn’t do is change any of the internal links on this original site to the new .org address. That means that when you try to use any links for this old site, you’ll have to copy the link (using right click), paste it into the address bar in your browser, and then erase the “net” part of the address and replace it with “org”. It’s an unwieldy process, but it will work well enough for as long as you have the patience to do it.
I strongly suspect that Steve has no intentions of making any further fixes to the original site since he is now pouring his efforts into the new site; it’s going to be a case of put-up or move out at this point. I’m currently shopping around, but so far I can’t find any sites (including the new DD) that include all the customization features that I liked on this site. Xanga comes closest, but I’m not totally sold yet, and the name “Salamander” is taken there anyhow. If anyone finds any journaling sites worth checking out, let me know.
its highly frustrating that even the ‘home’ button on this site now goes to the new site 🙁 I haven’t found anywhere else I like yet either
