Another weekend passes.

Had a good weekend for a change. The Prof and I didn’t bicker once, we got a lot of things accomplished, and the Kitten from Hell didn’t break anything. Who could ask for anything more?

The great mulligatawny soup experiment from Friday came out quite edible. The Prof and I have vastly different ideas of how spicey is too spicy, though. While the soup was good, it was perhaps a bit too hot for my tastes. There was a bit of GI distress over the course of Saturday as the soup made its way through my system as well. Still, I hate to discourage him, so I didn’t issue any formal complaints. I am going to have to figure out a way to let him know that you can achieve great things by halving the amount of chili pepper that goes into something, though.

I managed to come down with some sort of chest cold/GI thing over the weekend. I’d actually been seeing signs of this since last Wednesday, but it really came to a head last night. We were in the midst of assembling the hutch for the dining room when I got hit. Chills, cough, sore throat, muscle aches … the usual complement of general symptoms. I ended up going to bed around 8:30, with the hutch only half constructed. The bottom half looks good though, and it is definitely kitten proof. With luck I’ll feel good enough tonight to finish the top half.

We rented “Along Came a Spider” over the weekend. It turned out to be a better movie than I expected. Not great, but worth the price of a rental. We’ve also got Dancer in the Dark to watch – we were supposed to watch it last night, but then I got sick …. Well, it isn’t due until Thursday.
