Is it me, or are there fewer and fewer hours in each day? It’s getting to the point where I’ll have to give up a few non-essentials like eating and sleeping to get everything done.

I had to go back to work after the doctor’s appointment yesterday to make up as much time as I could. I didn’t get home until nearly six o’clock, and was surprised to find that The Professor wasn’t home. The Prof came in not long after with a new antenna for his new television to go on top of the new entertainment center. *sigh* This is turning into an expensive proposition for him, especially considering we watch one hour of television a week – “Enterprise”. Still, he seems pleased with himself, so all is right with the world.

I made dinner, then had to run out to the pharmacy to fill my multiple prescriptions. By the time all that was accomplished, it was 8:30, and we still hadn’t hit the gym. I whinged and moaned, but we went. I gave myself the most thorough cardiovascular work out yet, though I had to stint a bit on the leg exercises to do so. The fitness center at the Y shuts down Thursday night through Sunday so they can move all the equipment into new, bigger quarters. That means I get a brief break from it, unless the Prof follows through on his threat and finds another place for a couple of workouts. He’s gotten into this in a big way, going far more frequently than I have and working most of the equipment while he’s there. I’d never have expected that.

I didn’t do the dishes last night. The Professor was still eating when I went to the pharmacy, we went to the gym as soon as I got back, and it was nearly 11:00 by the time we’d returned and I’d grabbed my shower. I can’t wait to hear what comments he’ll have about that when I get home this afternoon.

When I got up this morning, the living room had been totally rearranged. The Prof had emptied, cleaned and moved the turtle tank to the far quarter, and put the television in it’s former place. He had to shift three bookcases to make room for the turtle tank (we have a lot of books). He’d vacuumed, and generally straightened up. I felt like a slug, having slept through all that. In fact, I got up exhausted, having only gotten about six hours sleep after a heavy work out. Like I said, there’s not enough hours in the day.

One down side of the new arrangement is that the turtle tank now could (and probably will) serve as a perfect launch point for KfH to get to the top of the bookcases. I’m not entirely sure what to do about that, but something large is going to have to go on top of the bookcase nearest the turtle tank to block her path. I get so tired of trying to keep one step ahead of her.

I did get a few good pictures of KfH and Clueless both curled up in the cat bed together (a first) with Clueless grooming KfH’s head. There may be a truce in the works yet. That was my whole point in getting KfH – so CW would have a friend, since the Warrior Princess won’t play with him. I hope this is will be a continuing trend.
