Turkey Day recap.

Well, Thanksgiving went off without any real hitches. My older sister went out of her way to provide low/no salt food, so I really didn’t even fall off the wagon yesterday. Guess I’ll have to save that for Christmas!

The subject of living donor came up yesterday, as I knew it would. Neither of my sisters have yet contacted the Big City Hospital, and the Younger Sister started complaining to me (again) about how the hosptial hasn’t gotten in touch with her. I allowed myself to lose a little patience at this point. I reminded her that the hospital had given me a message that the sisters were supposed to call the hospital, that the Younger Sister was in the best position to call and let them know when she was available, and that I couldn’t be the secretary service for this. Either the Sisters were going to set it up or they weren’t, and I didn’t much care which. There was no cause to blame the hospital though, since the hospital had mentioned to me twice that my sisters had to contact them. I’d delivered the messages twice, and that was about as much as I could do. At that point my younger sister stopped grousing about it at that point. What happens now is anyone’s guess.

Cattitude, Kitten and O’Beast all got canned chicken for their holiday luncheon. I forgot to go out and get them a can of turkey dinner, but I figured chicken was a good close second. Cattitude and Kitten both greedily bolted down the treat, but poor O’Beast kept looking around for his dry kibbles. Cattitude and Kitten were happy to finish his serving for him, but I had no other treat for the O’Beast. Poor old guy.

The Socialist(dear that he is) took my car after he dropped me off at work Wednesday afternoon and got the oil changed and new wiper blades, both of which were much needed. I’d been trying to find time to do those errands for weeks. Is this guy a mensch or what?

I have to work Saturday and I really, really, really don’t want to.
