Car Cash, Light Reading & Impulsiveness

I haven’t done a waiting list update for a bit. It doesn’t make much difference at the moment, I guess, though no one has bothered to call me regarding the latest blood work results.

Liver: 421
Liver Status 7 (Inactive): 45
Liver MELD / PELD <10: 241
Liver MELD / PELD 11-18: 118
Liver MELD / PELD 19-24: 15
Liver MELD / PELD 25+ : 2

I never did get to the Kitten update last night. I just didn’t have the drive to spend any time at the computer. I have faint hopes that I’ll get to it tonight, but tomorrow night seems more likely at this point. There are just too many pictures to crop and rescale, and I don’t feel like tackling that job yet.

I did however completely clean out the inside of my car yesterday evening. I emptied the trunk of just about everything, cleaned up those bits and pieces of trash that always seem to find their way under the seats, and cleared out all the change that had been accumulating in one of the cup-holders. I was rather surprised at the amount of cold cash I had amassed; there was nearly $10 in change in that cupholder. Maybe I should start carrying around a piggybank in my car.

I completed de Lint’s latest book of short stories over the weekend and have begun rereading the Dune series. It’s been many years since I read my way through those, and after seeing the “Children of Dune” miniseries on the SciFi network I got the bug to reacquaint myself with the series. I’m finding it much more readable than I remember from before. I have no idea if that is because I’ve read it multiple times now, or just a previous “bad take” on my part. I like the fact I’m reading more again, since it is cutting back on the amount of useless television I had gotten into watching. I think Kitten likes it better too, since it’s easier for her to curl up on top of me when I’m reading than when I’m watching television.

Saturday I did something impulsive. Monday night I did something rash. Tonight I reap what I sowed. Tomorrow you get the details.
