Got a call smack dab in the middle of dinner from the Elder Sister last night. She asked if she were interrupting anything, so I truthfully told her we were eating, and I made arrangements to call back. After multiple attempts to call her, I finally got through her forever-busy line. Turns out she’d seen…
Monday has arrived, and signals the end of The Socialist’s semester break. The first eight weeks of his summer schedule have him teaching at the college Monday through Thursday nights. I’m not sure I’d like this as a long-term schedule, but I have to admit that I’m looking forward to having early summer evenings to…
I’ve got several dozen floppy discs on my desk at the moment. They all have stuff stored on them. None of it is stuff I’ve any need for. I think. But what if it turns out I do need it? That always happens about a week after I throw something out. All is not lost….
Jamisinc: In the beginning, the deal was that we’d split everything 50/50 chore-wise. That (for obvious reasons) didn’t last too long. The Professor hates cooking. In fact, I’d take it a step further and say he’s intimidated by it. When he lived alone, he ate every meal out, or had take-away. He at first said…
Finally got the test results back from Dr. Fell yesterday. PET scan: Normal No detectable masses anywhere in my body. Flow cytology: Normal No detectable abnormal cells in my bloodstream. I’m staged at 1A: Cancer affecting less than 10% of my skin, with nothing in blood, lymph nodes or organs. I can live with that.
Enough’s been said on the subject. Support Gift of Life.
Sounds like it will be fun! Enjoy yourself, and who knows, maybe The Socialist will surprise you and be right by your side every step of the way!

Yes ma’am, those are indeed sheep shears. I have several pairs of them all over the house. One never knows when one might be called upon to shear a sheep in an emergency, lol.
Seriously, my friends, knowing my passion for antique tools, have given me some really interesting things, sheep shears among them.
I am not sure if that is a muskrat trap. It is a vermin trap of some sort. There is also a mink trap up there near it, lol. If times get hard, I can always go trap my dinner. Muskrat stew, anyone??
I’ll support you
Cant send you money, but I am wishing the big winds give you speed.

Tell me how and where, and I will see if I can sponsor you. Have to clear it with the husband, as per our $$ agreement. 😉
