Not for the Squeamish: Mid-day Results

Cross-section of a relatively fresh turdlet. Note the yellow fleck embedded towards the pole at the right-hand side. This would be the Little Grey Shit’s shit.

Further observations:

1) When I groom her, I get very little hair. This sample is fairly densely packed with hair, however (you can see it clearly at the left-hand side of the turdlet). I begin to suspect that I either need to increase her lactulose to help prevent impaction, or add laxatone to her diet. I’ll probably increase the lactulose first.

2) Something I failed to consider when choosing colors was that my brand of clumping litter has little blue flecks in it. You can see one immediately adjacent to the embedded yellow fleck. I will need to break each turd open to make sure the flecks are in the turd and not just kitty litter stuck to the surface. I’m thinking that I’ll be changing the Little Black Shit’s color code once I run out of the blue shavings I’ve already created.

3) Note that just above the yellow fleck is a piece of carrot. I believe I would have a hard time mistaking orange crayon flecks for carrot so I may reconsider omitting orange from my list of possible colors to use for turd markers.
