I’m shutting off my computer now …

My site meter has registered two more accesses through Google in the last 24 hours. One was for “men are horrible” (which was a quote from someone else – I never said that) and the other was for “overweight” and “cat pics”. I’m hoping both visitors left somewhat disappointed. The Clueless Wonder isn’t that fat…….

My transplant coordinator called this morning, said she’d gotten through to the cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (which I am here-ever-after calling CTCL because writing it out is too damned much work) expert and that I should expect a call from him today. Memorial observances this year have been more understated, less advertised and less high profile. It’s an improvement. The anniversaries of this date should reflect far less political posturing and televised showmanship, and more scrutiny of the mark that has been left in our history, and the marks we wish to leave in our future history….

Sick yesterday. Fever stayed within half a degree of 102 all day. Less sick today. Temp running between 100 and 101. I’m assuming flu, even though I had the flu shot. Strangely, there’s virtually no upper respiratory component, just high temp and mild nausea. I feel wiped.

I am definitely gainfully employed again. I think (hope) that I’ve finally climbed over the steepest part of the learning curve on the new job. I’ve been assigned my permanent shift, and it’s going to pretty much be a life-changer – 3:30 pm until midnight, with every other weekend on. The weekends won’t be the…
