Now we’ll see if we can’t translate that into a job.
Kitten from Hell continues to recuperate, although she’s worrying me a bit. She seems comfortable, and she’s active, but she’s off her food. The only time I saw her eat well this weekend was when she got sick about five minutes later. I’ll just continue to keep an eye on her, but if there’s ANY…
Ah, the siren call of the well-turned phrase. Who can resist an argument when it is summarized as: The Right to ChooseChoose LifeRight to DieRight to LifePro-lifePro-choiceThe Culture of Life This newest call to arms, “The Culture of Life,” is all the more remarkable because it actually introduces an entirely new word into the vocabulary…
Spring may actually be coming. I know the year is young, and the mild spell we’re experiencing now is simply lulling me into a sense of false primavera. But it feels good to go out in a light jacket and not have my body’s core heat immediately sucked out of me. It feels good to…
I’ll get the depressing stuff over with first. Got a call from the Specialist’s office yesterday afternoon – they want to go ahead and do a bone marrow biopsy. It’s just one of those “we want to be sure” things, but there are certain blood disorders (I love a good euphemism) that could produce the…
I got my fiber optic Christmas tree last night on sale at 60% off!!!!! Happy, happy, joy, joy! I’ve wanted one of those for years, but didn’t want to shell out that much money. There was a really nice one on sale for around $26 bucks though, and I’m far more pleased than I ought…
The blood oranges have again appeared at my grocery store. This is nearly a month earlier than their first appearance last year, and I dare to hope that this means that this year’s season will be longer. The Socialist has been indulging my addiction, and has purchased several dozen blood oranges for me already. I…
You’re probably just winding up your dentist’s appointment right now. I’m sure everything there went well and now you have to get your butt to school and study your head off. Eat something around five so a growling stomach doesn’t distract you. Don’t forget to have a nice cup of espresso or two about half an hour before the test. (Studies show that caffeine before a test improves scores, you know.) Then a trip to the bathroom immediately before. Those are my own little tricks to make sure I don’t have any distractions. With those suggestions I’m sure you’ll do very well on the test. (((hugs for luck)))
Good luck!
And try not to cram right up until the last minute – I always find it’s better to put my books away at least an hour before the exam, and spend the remaining time just relaxing, maybe reading some light fiction or something – it gives your brain a bit of time to process what you’ve learnt (otherwise you risk only being able to recall the last thing you tried to memorise!), and going into an exam in a relaxed state of mind is always a good idea.
But I’m sure you don’t need this advice anyway – you’ll blow them away!

RYC: I’m never convinced by my sketching ability – I almost didn’t upload those ones because they didn’t seem to me to look anything like what they were supposed to.
