Puzzled

Anybody know what’s up with some of the new diaries here? I can’t figure out their purpose. They’ll have real looking names like “JamesHolt” or “Ellenyou” or “MalcolmFloyd”, and they all have (among other things) random sports type references sprinkled throughout them, implying they are trying to get found by search engines. Other than that, they read like Yoda speaking in ancient Babylonian translated back into English through Babelfish. I figure they have to be some sort of scam/spam, but I can’t figure out why. There are no links either on the side bar or embedded into any of the text that would lead you to strange and evil sites. I’ve checked the “view source” and can’t find anything embedded in the footer that would trap IP# information or access any other viewer information (though I’m not really a source-guru, so I might be missing something there).

I’ve tried writing nonsensical content like what they’re doing, and it’s like trying to write Jabberwocky. Unless there’s some computer program that just randomly stitches nouns, verbs, adjectives and gerunds together in an appropriate but meaningless order, it’s got to take hours to create some of this drek. And even if it is computer generated, what could possibly be the reason? Someone is going to an awful lot of trouble to create weird text and update it to Dear Diary, and it’s starting to drive me nuts that I can’t figure out why.
