Waning of the Day
Can a situation be both better and worse than you originally thought? It would appear that I’m on a new committee, formed by a top official in our company, who then promptly abandoned it to sink or swim without his assistance. We have to address certain issues, figure out how we would respond if certain…
To Anyone Who Has Left a Private Comment
I can see the notifies for my private comments, but I haven’t been able to read them since the beginning of the week. Steve is working on the problem. Meanwhile, if a reply was expected, please accept my apologies. I can be contacted at my gmail account, user name Salamandervmd, if someone wants to get…
So how can you tell me you’re lonely?
I’m getting some perspective again. Yesterday I had a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), a bone marrow biopsy, and a dexascan to check for osteoporosis (evidently a common side effect of liver failure). The PFT was done in the cardio unit of the hospital. There were people there doing cardio-rehab while I waited. Old men with…
Expectations and Perspectives
It seems like there should be so much to write now, but in reality my days are all much the same. I get up, take my pills, force myself to eat, watch television, take more pills, force myself to eat, watch more television, take more pills, force myself to eat, watch more television, take more…
End of my week long snit.
I think I’m pulling out of whatever attitude I’ve been copping for the last week. Someday I’ll get it through my head that it’s OK to simply be confrontational about something, and get it talked out. Like with the dishes. Do I tell the professor I’m getting pissed off? Noooooo, I just wash the dishes…
Today’s Featured Turkeys.
The O’Beast has taken to sleeping in a new spot, since Cattitude and Kitten have taken over the cat beds. I have to say that he is at least creative in his sleeping arrangements. Cattitude’s small infection in her nether regions from about a month ago cleared up nicely. During the healing process she was…
Bravo! The Swedish Chef cracks me up every time.
It reminds me of when I took high school band trips on the school bus and we’d all sing our parts together to the pieces we were working on.
It didn’t sound as good as the muppets, though. 😀
LOL! I miss the Muppets.
Animal! A – ni – mal!
I was in band in high school, along with all the other high school geeks. We played Stars and Stripes Forever and in a fashion very similar to this we would sing our instruments’ parts on bus rides. It was fun and I can still do it, although never in the same range as the piccolo I usually played for this song. But the sousaphone players couldn’t sing in their instruments’ range, either. I was lucky to have been a versatile player. Sometimes I played flute or piccolo and sometimes I played one of the saxophones. Heck, I even played drums or glockenspiel on occasion. It just depended on what we needed at the moment.
Oh for the old Muppet Show days….
