Explosive
The Prof and I went to see local small town fireworks for the fourth. It’s been years (and years and years) since I went to a fireworks show. I was prepared for something somewhat less than optimal, but I ended up really impressed by the show. There were a few fireworks I’d never seen before, including some that exploded into heart shaped blossoms, and others that blew up into nuke-the-death-star rings. I took my little digital camera with me because it had a fireworks setting and I was curious how it would work. The take-home lesson was that I need a tripod to get pictures that don’t have hand-held-squiggle effects, but it was still fun to try.

Lovely! Thanks for sharing. The little town I grew up in just south of here had a truly amazing fireworks display every year. They went all out. We went last year for the first time in an eon and they’d collaborated with a local radio station to provide orchestra music in time with the display.
RYC: Trust me when I say I’d have been much happier having lunch with you no matter the circumstances. I’d hug you but you’d probably sick a cat on me……
