Premium User-hood, here I come.

Or at least, that’s what I thought. I did all the bills, checked, and I have plenty leftover from May’s budget to splurge on “EXTRAS” here at DD. The catch … I notice that I’ll be premium user number “69”. Don’t know why that should stick in my craw. But it isn’t as auspicious a sign as I’d like.

Well, if that’s what the Fates, who continue to spin their comedy about me, decree, then that’s the way it goes.

I don’t suppose anyone out there wants to sign up first, do they ….?

  1. So, possibly California, eh? That’s exactly where S & I are trying to move… as soon as finances & other stuff allow. Why couldn’t you get a job in a vet clinic? How much experience do you need after you have the degree? Writing is a hard way to make a living, at least until you get your first publication. I know it is the one thing that makes me happy too. Good luck.

  2. Take some of you won advice! Follow your bliss. It is only too late when you’re dead, and that’s only in theory.

i think your fantasy says that you basically want another chance to get things right. We all do. Start fresh tabula rasa and all that.

    You’re not alone.

  3. hi Salamander,

wow, i thought you were in practice. vets aren’t required to do residencies are they? like human doctors? do you ever want to join/develop your own practice? i ask because i believe that going and getting through vet school is so much more difficult than regular med school. all that hard work.

you have a great writing voice though, it’s the making a living part that can be troublesome. either way, i’m sure you’ll be wonderful. will you post some of your writing in openfiction? hope so.

    take care.
