Wake up call.
It was so touching. I slept to 11:30 this morning, and may have kept sleeping a bit longer if it hadn’t been for the Kitten throwing herself at my bedroom door. The poor thing was agitated beyond belief, and I imagined her thinking that something was wrong with me and loyally trying to break down the door to get to me. After her third attempt at body-tackling the door, I got up and let her in. She was in classic agitated-cat mode with her tail like a bottle brush and her pupils so dilated that you could barely make out the yellow of her eyes.
She immediately came to me for comfort. *sigh* It’s nice to be loved. Then I heard the racket outside my apartment.
The world’s largest leaf blowers were at work, removing all the leaves that had come down over the past week. They sounded just like vacuum cleaners. She wasn’t worried about me at all – she was trying to escape the evil leaf-blowing vacuum cleaners from outside. Kinda puts a person in her place.
Meanwhile, the O’Beast (who is also deathly afraid of the vacuum cleaner) was perched contentedly on the windowsill cat-seat, asleep. Cats … there’s no figuring or explaining them. I have no idea where Catitude is, but I figure she’s downstairs somewhere, plotting a way to escape and attack the leaf blowers. That’s more her style.

maybe the low grade fever is the universe’s way of saying ‘stay home and write at dd….oh, and some kittens aren’t as ‘bad’ as they think they are.’
When the gardner next door shows up my cat sits in the window and glares at him.lol
During his visits it’s best not to try and pet her. She growls the ”don’t f with me” growl if you even talk to her.
Necessity is the mother of affection. :/
