I’d love to stay at a B&B, but there’s virtually no chance of rousing The Socialist before noon. Breakfast tends to be long over by then, and I doubt our hosts would be very thrilled by the vampire hours. We’ll be better off at a conventional hotel, I suspect.

In re: your comment, "tambien" is not English. It’s a term I picked up years ago from a Mexican American girl. Though bilingual, she tended to mix a lot of Spanish into her English. I picked up the word "tambien," which means also. But so far as I know I’ve never slipped before and used it out loud (or on paper). 🙂 Why I should substitute the word "tambien" for the word "also" in my head is unknown to me. It’s not like "also" is a long word.

i found a worm in my salad at an ihop years ago. i was disgusted, but the waitress and manager were even more disgusted than me. they offered me a free meal anytime and paid for the worm salad. i’m sure they tossed it after i left.
