Which do you want first …

… the good news, or the bad?

Bad news: The stupid hospital hasn’t gotten back to me yet about their disability parameters. I had really, really, really hoped to get that resolved today. The longer this drags on, the more likely it is that I’m returning to work next Monday.

Good news: The cardiologist appointment with Dr. Ken Doll went OK. He doesn’t want to see me for three months, which is fine by me. My heart rate is reduced (down to 96) so the verapamil seems to be working. He’s doubled the dose, and told me to behave. I didn’t even have to stifle the urge to laugh at his rug this time.

Bad news: The trick that The Socialist showed me for downloading pictures directly from my camera to my C drive, bypassing the software that is currently deceased on my computer, only works for his camera/computer. I know he’s going to argue with me and then eventually try it for himself, but it just plain doesn’t work. His computer shows his camera’s card as a separate drive when the camera is plugged into the universal port. My computer doesn’t. There is, quite simply, no freaking way for me to access my camera’s card at the moment.

Good news: Well, it cost me $30 for a new color cartridge, but my printer is now working again. I don’t care if they are cheaper … I am never again going to purchase one of Staple’s clone cartridges instead of the Epson cartridges. It doesn’t make any difference if they’re two thirds the price of an Epson if they clog up with 75% of the ink still in them.

Good news/Bad news: I’ve managed to get off three of the ten pounds I gained over vacation. Seven more to go.

  1. Just think, when your shoestring does accomodate it, you can buy other accessories to match the bracelet! Just think, 14 karat Medic-Alert earrings! Oh, go for a matching tennis bracelet too! Maybe a toe ring!

    The possibilities are endless!
