I haven’t set myself to write recently. I can’t explain why, though there are a lot of excuses I could use. At work, during breaks, I used to flesh out an outline of my daily activities, to be proofed and updated at home. I no longer have the luxury of break time most days, and…
Another nine spam deleted. The sense of satisfaction in blasting that stuff to kingdom come is brief, but significant. What is it about this AtMail account that attracts the spam-meisters? I use it for nothing except notifies and corresponding with other diarists. I have three other accounts I use, and none of them get this…
May first. The apartment complex we want to move to suggested I call back this week, since they’d be getting notices from people about this time who were going to be terminating their leases. I called today, figuring people would have had to get back by yesterday if their lease terminated at the end of…
My first entry of 2011 and I’m already bitching. Life as we know it continues. Things that I got for Christmas that I might be able to regift: ●4 Gorham âFestive Hollyâ votives ●Lenox âJust Jinglesâ tree ornament (which I note with amusement has âAmerican by Designâ printed on the box but âMade in Chinaâ…
Iâm back from the two-day conference with fifteen continuing education credits under my belt and a couple of decent job leads. It actually all went pretty well until we got ready to leave and my car (parked in the underground garage associated with the hotel where the event was held) wouldn’t start. By way of…
Yup, some more pictures from the cat chronicles. Early on I figured that KfH was just one of those kittens who gets bored easily. So I got her toys. Lots of toys. These are just the toys that I pulled out from underneath the hutch tonight. She had lots more that she hadn’t batted under…
this is the kind of letter that is tough to write, but you pull it off. too bad they can’t know more about you.
I think that’s pretty good. I tried to read it from the recipient’s perspective. I think that you waited until this time of year is actually very good. The first holiday season after losing a loved one is very difficult, and this letter might make it easier. The only thing I might even suggest to add is that you are taking exceptional care of their child’s liver, that you don’t drink and are careful about medication that could damage it. They might feel better to know that the doctors are unsure as to why your original liver failed but that you were not engaging in behaviors that could have put you at risk. Oh, and you could add that it is working normally.
The above are just suggestions, and those particulars are not necessary, I suppose, but if it were the Kid, I would feel better to know that whoever got his organs would take good care of them.

Beautiful.
That letter made me get teary eyed,,,and that’s rare for me. It is a beautiful letter.
I am thankful that you got that gift.

Great letter. You have always had a way with words.
Beautiful…
Beautiful…
Beautiful.
What a beautiful letter.
I would not change a thing.
Telling them about your past health would only make them sad and they do not need to know that.
You did an excellent job telling them just what they needed to know….that you are leading a ‘normal, healthy and happy life’ once again, thanks to their ‘decision’.
That will make them ‘happy’ knowing that they did they right thing. Also knowing that part of ‘them’ is living on, in you, is comforting to them, alone.
Again….
What a Beautiful letter.
Love,
Honey
P.S…
You letter also tells them…
What a ‘Beautiful person’ you are.
I think it’s a great letter. I think you did a great job showing how much a difference it has made to your life. I’m glad you were able to find the words.
