– Three tickets in hand for tomorrow’s 4:00 showing of Spiderman (a wonderful friend, my love and me) – The new apartment tentative move in date 7/12 – Solution to a nasty problem at work seems 90% successful – Some wonderful man cleaned my turtle’s tank while I slept last night (and got a mouthful…
It’s been a hard week for The Prof. We’ve lost cats before, but sometimes there’s a once-in-a-lifetime bond that forms between a two living beings that is both inexplicable and undeniable. That was Middy and The Prof. He currently marks the time elapsed from Easter evening, when we gave Midnight her release from suffering, by…
If I was reading this in any other personâs journal, Iâd suspect the veracity of the storyteller. At the very least Iâd wonder if the author was suffering Munchausenâs by proxy. Satanâs Little Fart Cloud was confirmed today to be diabetic. Weâve worried about this for the last year and a half because of the…
Today started off quite slowly, and has managed to stay that way so far. I woke to the sound of rain against the windows of the bedroom. Checking the time, I was amazed to find it was 12:30 in the afternoon. I had a fair amount of sleep to catch up on, but I don’t…
Life’s little ironies … I get busy at work, and suddenly there’s very little of interest to write about. The Professor is attempting to “normalize” his schedule (as he puts it) yet again. Tonight he won’t be going to bed until around 6:00. At this rate, he’ll be normalized just in time to return to…
It’s too hot to do anything except occasionally rotate to present the other side to the fan. Philadelphia peaked at 102°F (38.9°C) this afternoon. It’s just after 6:00 now, and 101° in the city. I put a 9″X13″ pan of water out in the garden with ice in it in the shade this afternoon for…
this is the kind of letter that is tough to write, but you pull it off. too bad they can’t know more about you.
I think that’s pretty good. I tried to read it from the recipient’s perspective. I think that you waited until this time of year is actually very good. The first holiday season after losing a loved one is very difficult, and this letter might make it easier. The only thing I might even suggest to add is that you are taking exceptional care of their child’s liver, that you don’t drink and are careful about medication that could damage it. They might feel better to know that the doctors are unsure as to why your original liver failed but that you were not engaging in behaviors that could have put you at risk. Oh, and you could add that it is working normally.
The above are just suggestions, and those particulars are not necessary, I suppose, but if it were the Kid, I would feel better to know that whoever got his organs would take good care of them.

Beautiful.
That letter made me get teary eyed,,,and that’s rare for me. It is a beautiful letter.
I am thankful that you got that gift.

Great letter. You have always had a way with words.
Beautiful…
Beautiful…
Beautiful.
What a beautiful letter.
I would not change a thing.
Telling them about your past health would only make them sad and they do not need to know that.
You did an excellent job telling them just what they needed to know….that you are leading a ‘normal, healthy and happy life’ once again, thanks to their ‘decision’.
That will make them ‘happy’ knowing that they did they right thing. Also knowing that part of ‘them’ is living on, in you, is comforting to them, alone.
Again….
What a Beautiful letter.
Love,
Honey
P.S…
You letter also tells them…
What a ‘Beautiful person’ you are.
I think it’s a great letter. I think you did a great job showing how much a difference it has made to your life. I’m glad you were able to find the words.
