Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!
Just got email – USA channel is having a Monk marathon on New Year’s day!
I’ll miss the morning episodes, but that still leaves the evening after I get home from Scranton.
This absolutely rocks!

I love the phrase “shining my flashlight on the moon”. It mixes equal measures of futility and hope, and yet it’s the hope that wins out. Shining My Flashlight On The Moon © 1997 Christine Lavin Just a trace of gold in the leaves today there’s just a touch of grey in my hair the…
Just got off the phone with the veterinary hospital. Clueless’s temperature is down, no vomitting or diarrhea overnight, and he’s demanding attention. He’s still NPO (i.e. “no food or water”) until this afternoon, and then they’ll try him on a little easily digestable lunch to see how he handles it. If all goes well, he’ll…
For those of you astute enough to notice – yup, I back-dated this one. I really did begin this on the 21st, but the fourth big snowstorm of this month kept me distracted enough that I spent too much time mesmerized by watching snow accumulate (a far more active process than one might imagine, as…
At least, it would be Indian Summer, were the sun out. It’s in the sixties, and the bit of rain we had earlier this morning has passed now. I can even fancy seeing a bit of blue sky to the west, but I’m not counting on anything. I stopped by the shipping store last night…
Back on Monday, June 17th I stopped bringing the mail in. Nobody noticed. I gave up and brought it in the Sunday after. I became curious. The next week I didn’t bring the mail in. On Sunday I brought in five days worth of mail. The next week I didn’t bring the mail in. On…

Hey Sal!!
Merry Xmas (again) and I am glad it went well. Sounds a relaxed day with lots of time to ponder.
Your Xmas Day sounds similiar to ours down under except we got the heat!!

ps….. a mini foxy we call here, is probably a fox terrier in the US, but a mini.
It’s amazing the things you learn about your siblings over the years! FOr instance, in the 80’s I learned that my older sister actually realized I existed.
wohoooo… glad it arrived, almost in time for chrissie. Thanks for letting me know 🙂
LOL, at the grey menace. I almost got this bath glove with little aussie animals on each finger. It was soooooo cute, but I knew it would be too tempting for your kids!! Figures if they got to it, it would not last a day!! LOL
This is one of the nicest entries I’ve ever read. Happy New year to you.
Can you or someone you know tape the early episodes for you?

I think your eve of wrapping, watching and playing with the cats was perfect.
Sisters…eeeeewwwww…..I have those.
I haven’t the air to waste changing their perception so I relish the tag of the silent dreamy child.("Honestly, Lilith, when are you going to grow up?")
I am glad you had a nice Christmas. And hope you have a Happy New Year.
