Just got email – USA channel is having a Monk marathon on New Year’s day!
I’ll miss the morning episodes, but that still leaves the evening after I get home from Scranton.
This absolutely rocks!

We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle; easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we would still live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan….— Irving Townsend —“The Once Again…
1. Face cloths are essential. They are small, so easy to handle. They are absorbent, so they get a lot of water off a cat quickly. They can be readily tossed to one side when saturated, and easily grabbed when a fresh one is needed. They wrap around tiny legs and tails without a lot…
Yet another paracentesis today. We got 5.5 liters, and could probably have gotten at least two liters more, but today’s block didn’t take well. (A “block” is what they call injections of a pain-blocker to an area to anesthetize it.) I started feeling pain about three liters into the draining, and there was no way…
I haven’t set myself to write recently. I can’t explain why, though there are a lot of excuses I could use. At work, during breaks, I used to flesh out an outline of my daily activities, to be proofed and updated at home. I no longer have the luxury of break time most days, and…
Interestingly enough, the transplant center seems far more pleased with my progress than I am. My weight is holding relatively steady, my incision is healing nicely, the swelling in my legs has reduced significantly, and my albumin was up to 3.0 as of last week (normal is 3.3 – 4.5, so I’m almost there). I got my hair done this morning, some finances worked out this afternoon, The Socialist’s Christmas presents finished off, and some messing around accomplished on the computer. Last August I purchased tickets…

ps….. a mini foxy we call here, is probably a fox terrier in the US, but a mini.
It’s amazing the things you learn about your siblings over the years! FOr instance, in the 80’s I learned that my older sister actually realized I existed.
wohoooo… glad it arrived, almost in time for chrissie. Thanks for letting me know 🙂
LOL, at the grey menace. I almost got this bath glove with little aussie animals on each finger. It was soooooo cute, but I knew it would be too tempting for your kids!! Figures if they got to it, it would not last a day!! LOL
This is one of the nicest entries I’ve ever read. Happy New year to you.
Can you or someone you know tape the early episodes for you?

I think your eve of wrapping, watching and playing with the cats was perfect.
Sisters…eeeeewwwww…..I have those.
I haven’t the air to waste changing their perception so I relish the tag of the silent dreamy child.("Honestly, Lilith, when are you going to grow up?")
I am glad you had a nice Christmas. And hope you have a Happy New Year.
