Clueless is in the Top Ten?????
It’s been over twelve years. Once in a while I’ll see one of the other cats, sitting silhouetted in a sunlit window or in shadows on a chair, and I think it’s him. You never stop missing them.

It’s 5:00. The moon is gibbous. I have no clue if its waxing or waning. The cats are scattered throughout the apartment, curled up in their respective favorite nooks. This means, of course, that the kitten is napping on the fresh laundry. There are dishes in the sink. I couldn’t be bothered. The alarm clock…
I’ll get the depressing stuff over with first. Got a call from the Specialist’s office yesterday afternoon – they want to go ahead and do a bone marrow biopsy. It’s just one of those “we want to be sure” things, but there are certain blood disorders (I love a good euphemism) that could produce the…
I don’t know the details. I may never know the details. I’m not certain I want to know the details. But one year ago today a family lost their thirteen-year-old son or daughter. I’ve always imagined it was a boy, but I don’t know this; it’s just an idea that has lodged itself in my…
This is the second spring that I’ve lived in this area. The spring before that we were apartment hunting, so even then I was driving these roads I now drive regularly. And it was that spring, two years ago, when I first noticed the Graylag Goose. Actually, I don’t know for sure if it is…
Barbie and Ken ‘Split’ After 43 Years Must be a slow news day. Though I do find this marginally more interesting than Jennifer Lopez and What’s-His-Name and far more interesting than Janet Jackson’s nipple.
“America is a place where Jewish merchants sell Zen love beads to agnostics for Christmas.â -John Burton Brimer As usual, no real news on this front. Weâve gone from 90°+F days to barely into the sixties days. Itâs made for a truly peculiar spring. This uneven segue into summer has most of the plants totally…
He was such a good cat! I recall checking in on his blog a year or two ago, myself.
A tuxedo cat who has lately been seen in the neighborhood has been hanging out in our small backyard. He’s thin and scrawny, though, not like Clueless, who had obviously been "well cared for". :o) I saw him sitting on one of our patio chairs last week. When he saw me looking out the French doors, he skedaddled; but I saw him see me and run away again a couple of days later. It’s nice and safe back there, with our privacy fence. Poor thing had a scratch on his nose. Also, there are lots of birds and fish and sometimes other critters to look at.
Clueless had a lovely nature. It’s true, you never stop missing them. So many reminders, large and small.
I still miss my little tail-sucker, Kitten, and my bottle baby Taz.
