Clueless is in the Top Ten?????
It’s been over twelve years. Once in a while I’ll see one of the other cats, sitting silhouetted in a sunlit window or in shadows on a chair, and I think it’s him. You never stop missing them.

It was an early day for The Salamander. Physical Therapy started an hour earlier (7:00 am), so I had to be out of bed by 5:00, and out the door by 5:30. It’ll be a late day for the Salamander. A couple of shipments failed to come in yesterday, and I need to be around…
Damn. Came to work without my wallet. Don’t even have enough change to get forty cent coffee out of the machine. Most days I go all day without eating. Today, since I can’t buy anything, I’ve decided I’m starving. Go figure. I was going through the pictures from my digital camera, trying to get them…
Met up with the ex last night for dinner and a movie. It was actually a pleasant evening, though I found myself babbling throughout. He has a tendency to leave big, awkward silences, which I feel compelled to fill. He’s taken care of getting my name off the old bank accounts finally, and says I…
I just put my name on a volunteer list for clean-up for the Gulf oil spill. I took the optional wildlife courses in vet school, and have some basic knowledge of what the grunt work would be on site, so I figure that makes me useful. If they want me I could be on my…
The Professor teaches until late tonight. With time on my hands and no idea how to celebrate, I took myself to Borders Books, where I spent my 25% off one item, not-to-be-combined-with-any-other-discount-or-offer, not-valid-for-electronics-or-DVD-sets birthday coupon on Orson Scott Card’s latest book of short stories. I also got a book on reading cat body language and…
Yes people, it’s started. My insufferable Minion has yet again tuned into the 24/7 Christmas carol station, starting today. I will not be responsible for the outcome. It is on his head if I crack from one too many renditions of “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer” or “The First Noel”. Especially because he is likely to…
He was such a good cat! I recall checking in on his blog a year or two ago, myself.
A tuxedo cat who has lately been seen in the neighborhood has been hanging out in our small backyard. He’s thin and scrawny, though, not like Clueless, who had obviously been "well cared for". :o) I saw him sitting on one of our patio chairs last week. When he saw me looking out the French doors, he skedaddled; but I saw him see me and run away again a couple of days later. It’s nice and safe back there, with our privacy fence. Poor thing had a scratch on his nose. Also, there are lots of birds and fish and sometimes other critters to look at.
Clueless had a lovely nature. It’s true, you never stop missing them. So many reminders, large and small.
I still miss my little tail-sucker, Kitten, and my bottle baby Taz.
