Clueless is in the Top Ten?????
It’s been over twelve years. Once in a while I’ll see one of the other cats, sitting silhouetted in a sunlit window or in shadows on a chair, and I think it’s him. You never stop missing them.

I made the first cut for the laboratory quality assurance job at Big City Veterinary School. They want me to submit a resume and fill out a buncha forms. Looks like doom and gloom is deferred for another week or so.
“Everybody knows they’re going to die, ” he said again, “but nobody believes it. If we did, we would do things differently.” So we kid ourselves about death, I said. “Yes. But there’s a better approach. To know you’re going to die, and to be prepared for it a any time. That’s better. That way…
Gads I’m tired. I was up until one this morning, cleaning and laundering and straightening up for Sunday’s guest. And yes, The Socialist helped. He did all the vacuuming, and a fair bit of the tidying. He also gave me the last piece of his Sara Lee chocolate cake (with chocolate icing). It would have…
I go to Main and find that Btfsplk is apparently alive and well after all after all these years. Either that, or some evil super-genius is even now as I type has set up an room with hundreds of laptops and thousands of cats and unprotected keyboards everywhere. Shark Boy and Lava Girl need to…
I got some bad news on Tuesday when I got into the office. A friend had called and left a message that there had been a fire at the veterinary hospital I use for my pets. In the past months there had been a lot of construction at the hospital for a new wing and…
Only two more days until my next paracentesis. At the rate I’m building up fluid, I won’t be surprised if Dr. Liver wants to move me to weekly tap-outs. It would certainly make me feel better if he did, but if I start losing that much time at work I might as well just go…
He was such a good cat! I recall checking in on his blog a year or two ago, myself.
A tuxedo cat who has lately been seen in the neighborhood has been hanging out in our small backyard. He’s thin and scrawny, though, not like Clueless, who had obviously been "well cared for". :o) I saw him sitting on one of our patio chairs last week. When he saw me looking out the French doors, he skedaddled; but I saw him see me and run away again a couple of days later. It’s nice and safe back there, with our privacy fence. Poor thing had a scratch on his nose. Also, there are lots of birds and fish and sometimes other critters to look at.
Clueless had a lovely nature. It’s true, you never stop missing them. So many reminders, large and small.
I still miss my little tail-sucker, Kitten, and my bottle baby Taz.
