Clueless is in the Top Ten?????
It’s been over twelve years. Once in a while I’ll see one of the other cats, sitting silhouetted in a sunlit window or in shadows on a chair, and I think it’s him. You never stop missing them.

Replacing a driver’s license : $24.00 Replacing an owner’s card : $18.50 Getting a new Medic Alert bracelet: $30.00 (unless I upgrade to gold, which I’ve always wanted to do – then it’s at least $80.00) Getting a new card case : I think I’ll skip that Total: : 72.50 Value of a kitten’s love…
The one little piece of tradition I wanted.
The trees this year apparently can’t decide whether or not to throw their lot in with the changing of the seasons. As I drove to work this morning I noted that a fair number of maples were particularly schizophrenic regarding the changing of the seasons, with green, gold and red leaves all on the same…
Memorial observances this year have been more understated, less advertised and less high profile. It’s an improvement. The anniversaries of this date should reflect far less political posturing and televised showmanship, and more scrutiny of the mark that has been left in our history, and the marks we wish to leave in our future history….
I got the call for the new liver at 6:00 in the evening, just after I’d eaten. There *might* be a liver for me, how did I feel, had I been sick or running any temperature recently, was I interested? Uh, excuse me? Am I interested?????? The guy on the other end, whose name was…
I didn’t accomplish but a fraction of what I’d hoped to do this weekend. Saturday I did get my hair done, but again got talked out of getting it cut really short. My hairdresser is very good at convincing me that if I just grow it a bit longer we’ll be able to do all…
He was such a good cat! I recall checking in on his blog a year or two ago, myself.
A tuxedo cat who has lately been seen in the neighborhood has been hanging out in our small backyard. He’s thin and scrawny, though, not like Clueless, who had obviously been "well cared for". :o) I saw him sitting on one of our patio chairs last week. When he saw me looking out the French doors, he skedaddled; but I saw him see me and run away again a couple of days later. It’s nice and safe back there, with our privacy fence. Poor thing had a scratch on his nose. Also, there are lots of birds and fish and sometimes other critters to look at.
Clueless had a lovely nature. It’s true, you never stop missing them. So many reminders, large and small.
I still miss my little tail-sucker, Kitten, and my bottle baby Taz.
