And my 14,000th visitor is …
… some guy who did a Google search on turtle tanks.

Sunday night at Man-who-uses-forty-foot-ladders-to-hang-birdhouses’ was great. Tex and he are rather cute together – it was clear they didn’t want to act too obviously like a “couple”, but they were definitely together. I hope it works out for them. Long distance romances can be hard. The Professor drove us home from Man-who-uses-forty-foot-ladders-to-hang-birdhouses’ – I’d had…
My doctor decided that the ultrasound scheduled for next week was too long to wait, and bumped me into a slot today somehow. I had hopes of hearing the results from that, but none appear to be forthcoming today. I suppose no news is good news. I have the flex sigmoidoscopy first thing tomorrow morning….
Answer to yesterday’s very arcane question: The title was ripped out of a spoken section of “Hot Rod Lincoln”, by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen. A secret vice of mine, Commander Cody. I sent this song to a friend some weeks (months?) back. I think she could use it again, though. BY WAY…
Let’s just say yesterday was NOT one of my better mornings. They’d been calling for snow, but I refused to take it seriously. The weather forecasters in these parts are like soothsayers predicting fortunes from chicken entrails. Yeah, they get it right once in a while, but then again, if you guess often enough eventually…
So here’s my March to date: Work. Ambivalence, thy name is employment. I hesitate to complain, because I’m grateful this place hired me, I’m grateful that I’ve got some sort of income, I’m grateful that my social horizons now extend beyond a husband and a handful of cats. But I look at life as I…
Can it be that spring is actually here? Today was an unseasonable 80+ lovely Fahrenheit degrees. I opened the windows, and the cats were immediately part of the situation. The Little Black Shit actually got some quality time outside with The Prof. The robins are doing their territorial dancing, the cardinals have built a nest…
i’m ready for spring too!
Ah, hearing tests. I always like to mess with the administrators of these tests by asking them to repeat what they said and to speak up. By the time I’m done with my test, they are usually quite sick of the word "Pardon?"
Remind me to tell you about eating beets and asparagus the night before having a UA!

Awww, darn it, I had my eye on #14,000 but I fell asleep on the couch.
Glad you connected with others in the chatroom—what great way to hear about other people’s experiences and know you are not alone.
I am craving some days that involve dryness. All my spring bulbs are up but it is too rainy to admire them.
Can I be the unofficial 14000th visitor?
lololol@turtle tanks! has the turtle made a resurgence as a common household pet? i haven’t checked out the animals at the petstores aside from the feeder rodents.
you are not alone in your spring cravings, indeed. so glad you found such a supportive list!
Just popping in to do some quick catching up and to see how you were doing – Hope you have a most wonderful weekend! 🙂
Hugs,
Lauren
