Snowday: An Update In Pictures
Well, MRG, I’m taking the whole separate entry route for this one! I’ve actually wondered about this myself. As per MoonriddenGirl’s comment on my prior entry, what is the best way to reply to a comment? I’ll be damned if I know. For any of the diaries I frequent regularly, I usually check comments on…
OK. Since this is shorter than some of the others have been, I’ll do the another survey. I’m a sucker for surveys, it would appear. 1. Open up your CD player. Which CD player? The ones at work and home are empty at the moment. My car CD player is a stackable six, with a…
Sick yesterday. Fever stayed within half a degree of 102 all day. Less sick today. Temp running between 100 and 101. I’m assuming flu, even though I had the flu shot. Strangely, there’s virtually no upper respiratory component, just high temp and mild nausea. I feel wiped.
Sunday night at Man-who-uses-forty-foot-ladders-to-hang-birdhouses’ was great. Tex and he are rather cute together – it was clear they didn’t want to act too obviously like a “couple”, but they were definitely together. I hope it works out for them. Long distance romances can be hard. The Professor drove us home from Man-who-uses-forty-foot-ladders-to-hang-birdhouses’ – I’d had…
When I was a kid, fried marble jewelry was big. I doubt many of my readers remember the gawdawful bracelets and necklaces we made using fried marbles, but I remember with particular pride a lime-green bracelet I made all on my very own when I was maybe eight or nine. One fries marbles by heating…
I’m behind. Last night was spent at the Elder Sister’s – she had called me the day before to let me know she’d invited old friends of our parents for an impromptu dinner and invited me to come. The timing was awful, since I needed to go home and pack for tonight, but I haven’t…
All those things in your window sills….
so whimsical.
I like them very much. All of ’em!
The kitties know how to be comfy and enjoy the outside from the inside.
I agree with Yetzira about the whimsey factor. Charming.
That’s one comfy looking cat
That cat has the right idea on a snow day – curl up and stay warm. And order your humans to fix some (cat-friendly) hot chocolate.
Definitely a snow day for you. Love your kitty! What’s its name? A boy or a girl? I have a male cat named Bing Crosby. We have some snow here in Wisconsin today.

ehh.. being a smarty pants?
I can’t help it.
But on the other hand, we won’t see a drop of rain and our brains will be frying all summer long, so it’s a trade off.
What I wouldn’t give for a nice thunderstorm once a month in the summer…. sigh….
But I get flowers in February.
