Snowday: An Update In Pictures
Warrior Princess’ eye looks worse today. That may not mean much, but she’s not eating, hardly drinking, and looking for the darkest spots in the room to hide in. It might still be post-surgical stress and depression, but last night she was at least accepting tuna juice; today she walks away from it and any…
Have I truly made no entries since before Christmas? Granted, my overambitious goal of one-a-day entries fell by the wayside many years ago. Weekly updates, ditto. But apparently even the (once) obligatory Christmas/New Year entry got lost this time around. I have spent the past month or so re-reading all my entries from beginning to…
Well, last night The Professor gave the final exam to his summer session class. I can’t believe that first session is now over. (Neither can he.) This means that he won’t be working again until September. A contact of his at the college did mention the possibility of a counseling position for the remainder of…
Monday has arrived, and signals the end of The Socialist’s semester break. The first eight weeks of his summer schedule have him teaching at the college Monday through Thursday nights. I’m not sure I’d like this as a long-term schedule, but I have to admit that I’m looking forward to having early summer evenings to…

That’s one comfy looking cat
That cat has the right idea on a snow day – curl up and stay warm. And order your humans to fix some (cat-friendly) hot chocolate.
Definitely a snow day for you. Love your kitty! What’s its name? A boy or a girl? I have a male cat named Bing Crosby. We have some snow here in Wisconsin today.

RYC:…. ummm, er, ah… doing research? Tiptoeing through the… no, …taking time to smell the…
ehh.. being a smarty pants?
I can’t help it.
But on the other hand, we won’t see a drop of rain and our brains will be frying all summer long, so it’s a trade off.
What I wouldn’t give for a nice thunderstorm once a month in the summer…. sigh….
But I get flowers in February.
🙂
