Crap.
I get to add one more condition to my personal list of “been there, done that”. My A1C came back as clearly diabetic.
This isn’t funny anymore.

I’m up for a big job. A former veterinary school professor/mentor/friend has put my name up for the quality assurance position that has become available at Big City Veterinary School. This person would be responsible for auditing the lab to make sure it stays in compliance for its accreditation as a state lab. It is…
I only stopped in for a brief peek. I was emphatically NOT going to make another diary entry today. Well, OK, I was maybe going to do a Magnetic Poetry Creation entry. But not for a while yet. I haven’t even written one today. Your Results: You were male in your last earthly incarnation. You…
Cardiohypertrophy can mean lowered stroke volume and low output. It depends on the kind of hypertrophy, and the elasticity of the heart muscle. Some athletes have hypertrophic hearts (which literally means “bigger sized”) that are very efficient and have above average outputs. I, on the other hand, missed out on getting hypertrophy as a sequella…
I had my final Latin class last night. It’s a case of “I’m going to miss it, but I’m glad it’s over.” There were three students there last night, down from nine – 66% attrition rate. The course was very much what I expected, but I think some of the other students who took it…

I have no idea what gives here, but I strongly suspect that…
I picked up WP’s ashes on the way home from work tonight. When I got Clueless Wonder’s ashes back some years ago they came in box covered in a bright red satin print. I ended up finding a nice raku art piece that doubles as an urn. WP’s ashes came in a beautiful little wooden…
Well shit
Crap is right. Ugh!
This one I can sympathize with. Sorry.
dislike!
I’m so sorry this has happened. As we age it becomes more likely, and you did just have a birthday. 😉 Happy belated birthday, my friend. In spite of the diabetes. I’ve been living with it for 13 years now. But I’m lucky. I can eat whatever I want and still have an A1C under six. Hopefully some Metformin will straighten you out and you won’t have to mess around with insulin.
((((hugs))))
Well, sh*tinskis! I, too, will remain hopeful pills will do the trick. It seems to work for Mom.
