Crap.
I get to add one more condition to my personal list of “been there, done that”. My A1C came back as clearly diabetic.
This isn’t funny anymore.

OK, I promise to knock off the “M ±” stuff after this entry. I suspect it comes from watching too much Babylon 5. Then again, I’m not sure it’s possible to watch too much Babylon 5. The Younger Sister called this morning to let me know she was now well into the coughing/sneezing/nose-blowing portion of…
A tedious day is finally drawing to an end. With luck, I’ll be done work in an hour and a half or so. It’s been a long day, filled with nothing that has made a difference in the world. I completed what I anticipated to be a full day project before lunch. The rest of…
would have been my 23rd wedding anniversary. An aquaintance of mine at work is getting married today. She and I were born on the same birthdate. I hope that she has better luck with May 19th than I did. I am not superstitious. But some dates just keep coming at you in life for no…
My nose is running. It’s more athletic than I and leaves me breathless. **************************** To the question: Where is Palimpsest? Palimpsest is where Palimpsest always should have been. Palimpsest has returned to her home under the rock. It was foolish to allow the shadows to frighten her away, and it was more foolish to stay…
The Professor, in an effort to keep the Enemy at bay, removed Kitten from Hell from her yowling position outside the bedroom door in the wee hours of this morning and banished her to the bathroom (the last bastion of kitten-proof territory). This is what awaited me when I arose and headed for the head…
Yeah, I know. Another test. This one is really good though. I got it from Nova’s Diary. She says to email it to people, but I don’t do mass e-mails (too close to spam-mail for my taste), so I figured I’d promote it here instead. Here’s an interesting psychology-type test. Give it a try, and…
Well shit
Crap is right. Ugh!
This one I can sympathize with. Sorry.
dislike!
I’m so sorry this has happened. As we age it becomes more likely, and you did just have a birthday. 😉 Happy belated birthday, my friend. In spite of the diabetes. I’ve been living with it for 13 years now. But I’m lucky. I can eat whatever I want and still have an A1C under six. Hopefully some Metformin will straighten you out and you won’t have to mess around with insulin.
((((hugs))))
Well, sh*tinskis! I, too, will remain hopeful pills will do the trick. It seems to work for Mom.
