Part of my Gumby Collection
I suppose eventually someone around here is going to point out how unprofessional it is to have these hanging in my office.

I’m feeling healthier today. That always has a positive effect on my mood. It’s pouring rain outside, but somehow that doesn’t feel so oppressive as yesterday’s simple grey skies did. I picked up Clueless Wonder’s atenolol from his vet last night, and made an appointment for his one year follow-up. He’s doing well on his…
… but fact is also a hell of a lot more predictable. Just once I want to come home from work and say, “Hey, that wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.”
That beautiful garden makes up for this, another birthday present from the sisters, for the garden: It is a frog with a built in solar battery, so it can soak up the sun’s rays during the day and then glow in your garden for hours at night. Scary, huh?
The last 24 hours have been pretty quiet. The Professor starts back to teaching in earnest this week. He had his first Monday night class last night, which meant last night was the first evening I hit the gym without him. It’s easier in a way, since I don’t have him hopping over to check…
We had three inches of the most lovely “packing snow” you’d ever wish to see today. It started mid-afternoon, and in fact it is still coming down a bit now as I type this. I had to run out for hangers (Where do all the hangers go? The metal ones fall to the bottom of…
I’m tired. I’m stressed and I’m not coping well. In fact, I’m fairly well tired of coping. Let someone else cope for a while. To briefly recapture events of the last two weeks: Feb 12: Felt like I was coming down with something. Went to work, but hung out in in hottest rooms I could…
Charley Pride? Far out…
i thought about training my Daisy…but she shows no interest. i firmly believe you *can* train cats, the problem is that they are not as easily manipulated as dogs. That, and cats just don’t care.
your training sessions with the cats made me smile! lol.
i got a cat yesterday, myself–one made of wood. it will always be sitting.
sorry about your aches 🙁
yeah! cat’s seem to love that tartar control pounce. my mina comes when i ask her to…your CW reminds me of her.
So you’re coming to Nashville! I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for you – even though I’ve only seen you from the eyes up! Anyway, I had to laugh at your saying you’d have to check out the "finer local restaurants"… we’re not known for our great restaurants… but there are a few good ones. My favorite is The Medditeranean Cuisine on 21st Avenue South (just south of downtown). Also good is Calypso Cafe (in 2 locations). August Moon is okay for Chinese food; it’s in Green Hills (about a 10 minute drive from downtown). If you’re staying in town, a good one down there is Big River Grille & Brewer Works on Broadway (that’s where S and I had our very first date!). Hope you have a good time!
Sugar and Chocolate??? How did I end up with Beer and Vanilla LOL!!!
I have a friend that goes to a vet conference every year. I’m thinking it was hmmm on the East Coast last year and Hawaii the year before. Same conference? They always turn it into a sight seeing trip and seem to really enjoy themselves.

It’s HPS alright?
Geez, what would a Space Cadet know about diseases, anyway? Eh? Eh?
Hmpf!
I have never heard of Sugar Gliders before. I want a pet like that! With wings 🙂 yay!
Oh, and I wanted to have ‘cur’ as my username, because it’s always been my online nickname, but for some reason I couldn’t have it, so I chose NooNoo. I got the silly nick at Angels in the Night chat :). You can call me cur, if you prefer. Most people do :).
Love,
cur
sugar gliders as pets? i didn’t know that.
do they stink much?
Hope you are feeling better. I enjoyed reading your entry today.

My desk is covered in the happy meal toys, so don’t feel bad.

I was alway envious of Gumby because he had a horse and I didn’t. Cool collection!
Oh No Mr. Bill….thanks for bringing back some good memories.
