One-Handed Knots

Yesterday I briefly feared that what allimom had predicted might well come to pass. My arm was feeling much better; if its rate of recovery continued unchecked, I would have been perfectly healthy by tomorrow morning.

This afternoon I can safely predict that this isn’t going to be a problem. The current temptation is to amputate the offending limb without benefit of anesthesia. It couldn’t possibly hurt more than it hurts nows. I never learned to tie a one-handed knot with my left hand though, so even if I did attempt the amputation, I wouldn’t be able to ligate the blood vessels during the procedure.

Then again, another day of this misery and bleeding to death might seem like a viable option as well. Pardon the play on words.

Nearly forgot … today is my fifth anniversary at this job. Whatever else happens, I’ve got seniority on the Mouth.
