Adventures in Indian Cooking
Too much time on my hands today. It’s a “regular” work day, in that I have to be in the office, but except for an early morning problem, I’ve not been called on to do anything, nor do I expect to be for another few hours. The plan was originally to put the Christmas lights…
O-verpriced Tannenbaum
I want a Christmas tree. I suspect I want one extra badly because it turns out I honestly shouldn’t get it. I can’t afford it. I’ve seen several fake trees I like, and most are triple digits. I thought maybe I could budget $40 for a nice, smallish tree. Forty bucks won’t even buy me…
OMG! My Hair is RED!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first one of you who laughs is dead meat. I colored my hair again last night. I’ve been trying to tweak it towards some red highlights, like it used to have in my younger days. This time I chose a color that (on the box) was pretty close to what I wanted. It was…
Rude Awakening
Yesterday I thought I was going to have an early day at work. I was literally just packing up my desk when the head of another department came up to my office. After 45 minutes of him chewing me out (during which I said virtually nothing because he wouldn’t let me get a word in)…
Moving past it.
I swear, just one paragraph about dirty dishes, and then I’ll move on. I got home yesterday, and the previous night’s dirty dishes were still in the sink. I washed them. The Professor was annoyed, and said I should have saved them for him. I told him I had saved them for him, and they…
Bravo! The Swedish Chef cracks me up every time.
It reminds me of when I took high school band trips on the school bus and we’d all sing our parts together to the pieces we were working on.
It didn’t sound as good as the muppets, though. 😀
LOL! I miss the Muppets.
Animal! A – ni – mal!
I was in band in high school, along with all the other high school geeks. We played Stars and Stripes Forever and in a fashion very similar to this we would sing our instruments’ parts on bus rides. It was fun and I can still do it, although never in the same range as the piccolo I usually played for this song. But the sousaphone players couldn’t sing in their instruments’ range, either. I was lucky to have been a versatile player. Sometimes I played flute or piccolo and sometimes I played one of the saxophones. Heck, I even played drums or glockenspiel on occasion. It just depended on what we needed at the moment.
Oh for the old Muppet Show days….
