I’m tired.
And I’m still frustrated, and I’ll even admit to being a little fearful. The ascites (which is what my “bloating” is – free fluid accumulating in the abdomen) continues to worsen. I slept for perhaps two hours total last night. There is no way to lie down comfortably any more. When I got up this…
I’m back. Anyone miss me?
All in all, it was quite a trip. It did not start auspiciously … they overbooked our flight out of town, and we didn’t know until the literal last minute whether we’d have seats on the plane or not. We lucked out (sort of) and got two of the last three seats. We boarded the…
How very odd.
I found a half brown/half white hair on my desk just now. No, that isn’t the odd part. I’m of an age where the white hair is starting to make in-roads on my scalp. One more white hair taking over a brown hair is hardly a surprise. The surprise came when I investigated a bit…
Teeny little crystal balls
Tonight I try my hand at making class beads. With my Kreskin-like ESP I sense a bunch of “playing with fire” jokes coming my way. No matter. It’s a five-week course at the local high school, one night a week. It was relatively inexpensive, and it will give me something else to do other than…
The Reader’s Digest Version
I had so much I’d intended to put into diary entries. â¢I’ve got my new computer desk set up and running. â¢I spliced additional wire onto my new stereo’s speakers so that I could set it up on the new desk the way I wanted. â¢I only have to see the doctor every three weeks…
Slow and Steady
I begin to worry about myself when I become overwhelmed with pride because I managed to take a shower without a chair in the stall to sit on. I know I couldn’t have done that a few weeks ago when I first got home from the hospital, so there is some tangible proof that I’m…
Bravo! The Swedish Chef cracks me up every time.
It reminds me of when I took high school band trips on the school bus and we’d all sing our parts together to the pieces we were working on.
It didn’t sound as good as the muppets, though. 😀
LOL! I miss the Muppets.
Animal! A – ni – mal!
I was in band in high school, along with all the other high school geeks. We played Stars and Stripes Forever and in a fashion very similar to this we would sing our instruments’ parts on bus rides. It was fun and I can still do it, although never in the same range as the piccolo I usually played for this song. But the sousaphone players couldn’t sing in their instruments’ range, either. I was lucky to have been a versatile player. Sometimes I played flute or piccolo and sometimes I played one of the saxophones. Heck, I even played drums or glockenspiel on occasion. It just depended on what we needed at the moment.
Oh for the old Muppet Show days….
