For the first time in perhaps half a year, the Professor went to bed when I did. He got up when I did too, although that was hunger driven rather than his being ready to rise. In fact, when I came home from work today, he was back in bed. He said he only got…
Words
Words build a relationship with whomever encounters what another has have to say. What you write, and what you speak, is a structure every bit as much as a wall, a building, a pavement or a statue is. What you build is a reflection of who you are. Spoken words are a mist that dissipates…
Still working on them!
I’m hoping that a 6-hour plane flight (nonstop) will be sufficient incentive to get the remaining sets of interview questions done. If not, then the return flight of 5 hours should be further inspiration to get these done. It’s been distracting, delving through people’s diaries and looking at entries from a new angle, that of…
My 100th entry: hallelujah
What a lame day to have my hundredth entry on. A centennial should have something profound connected with it, and there are few profundities in my life at the moment. Sister the Elder will be stopping over this evening for instructions on how to take care of the cats while I’m gone next week. The…
One year ago today …
… I started to chronicle my life at this site. The entry was called New Beginnings. I’m not sure it was a new beginning. It was more like a fresh paragraph in an ongoing story. It’s taken me the better part of a year to realize that though. I didn’t start over again with a…
Animal E.R.
Today has been rough. I write this while waiting for word from my veterinarian’s office. This morning I awoke to find Clueless fast asleep on top of my legs. Clueless is not a “bed cat”. He doesn’t mind if he visits for a few brief minutes when his people are first snuggling down for the…
Bravo! The Swedish Chef cracks me up every time.
It reminds me of when I took high school band trips on the school bus and we’d all sing our parts together to the pieces we were working on.
It didn’t sound as good as the muppets, though. 😀
LOL! I miss the Muppets.
Animal! A – ni – mal!
I was in band in high school, along with all the other high school geeks. We played Stars and Stripes Forever and in a fashion very similar to this we would sing our instruments’ parts on bus rides. It was fun and I can still do it, although never in the same range as the piccolo I usually played for this song. But the sousaphone players couldn’t sing in their instruments’ range, either. I was lucky to have been a versatile player. Sometimes I played flute or piccolo and sometimes I played one of the saxophones. Heck, I even played drums or glockenspiel on occasion. It just depended on what we needed at the moment.
Oh for the old Muppet Show days….
