Apartments and Purple Tubes
We got a call from the new apartment complex the Professor and I would like to move to. They have a three bedroom, two and a half bath coming available on 7/12/02. They wanted us to get paperwork submitted as soon as possible on it though, intimating that they had others on the waiting list….
3:26 a.m., EDST
Comfortable, familiar, and wearing a little thin. At least my cable is up and working tonight. Kitten asleep on the lap. The Socialist informed me tonight that she’s no kitten, but she’s still a third smaller than the other two, and when she sleeps on my lap she makes a burbling noise. She might be…
Winds Winding Widdershins
And so we wait for the winding widdershins winds. Areas close to us have gotten the first bands of heavy rain, but the patterns are diffuse and arbitrary at the moment, with only the outermost bands of Irene barely brushing our area. That will change as the day progresses. Preparations are mostly complete. I’ve done…
Back to the grind.
That’s the bad thing about the holidays. They have this annoying tendency to end before you’ve given them permission to. Life in the Middle Seat
subtitled: I was never cut out for jet-settingFriday:The best laid plans of Salamanders and Socialists are apparently thwarted by the Forces That Be quite efficiently. The commuter train line that terminates in my little town has as its other terminus the Big City Airport. How convenient can it get? Trains leave once an hour for…
Bravo! The Swedish Chef cracks me up every time.
It reminds me of when I took high school band trips on the school bus and we’d all sing our parts together to the pieces we were working on.
It didn’t sound as good as the muppets, though. 😀
LOL! I miss the Muppets.
Animal! A – ni – mal!
I was in band in high school, along with all the other high school geeks. We played Stars and Stripes Forever and in a fashion very similar to this we would sing our instruments’ parts on bus rides. It was fun and I can still do it, although never in the same range as the piccolo I usually played for this song. But the sousaphone players couldn’t sing in their instruments’ range, either. I was lucky to have been a versatile player. Sometimes I played flute or piccolo and sometimes I played one of the saxophones. Heck, I even played drums or glockenspiel on occasion. It just depended on what we needed at the moment.
Oh for the old Muppet Show days….
